Climb Aboard!

NY TUGS is a new and different magazine.   NY TUGS is different because while there are publications devoted to the history of the Port of New York, or to tugboats in general, NY TUGS is the only publication devoted exclusively to the boats that make the Port of NY work.

Don't expect rivet or pothole counting in NY TUGS. That's not what we're about. Tugs are not static. They must earn their keep. They work, and, despite what we may often feel, and desprite our maritime traditions and superstitions, tugs are undeniably inanimate objects made mostly of steel.

It takes crew of humans to make them work. The boats can't talk, but the men and women who sail them can. That is what NY TUGS is about: recording compiling, illustrating, and sharing with readers the oral history of the tugs and the crews that make this great port work. Because today's events and happenings are tomorrow's history, each issue covers current news in addition to bringing stories and tales from New York's tugboating past.

Each 20-page full color issue of NY TUGS can be yours only by subscription. Why not climb aboard?

A 1-year, 3-issue, subscription to NY TUGS is only $29.00 and begins with the issue current on the day payment is received.

To obtain NY TUGS, send a check or money order and a completed Subscription/Renewal Form to Circulation Director Steve Munoz.
